"The gift cards and some of the cash donations went to the house parents to take the kids out on awesome activities during Covid. The bulk of the cash went to the Wendell Dick Alumni Fund, to support the Lloyd House and it's residents."
The Lloyd House is named after former director, Kirby Lloyd. That home is on the Evans Home property, and "houses residents who have finished high school, but need a place to help them get on their feet. They can live there as long as they work and save money for their own place."
Hood Love was able to put their donations towards their Annual Trunk or Treat Event. Little ones could dress up in their Halloween best and trick or treat.
They even organized a petting zoo and pony rides for everyone to enjoy. Making memories for the community, and putting smiles on the faces of the children, is really what it's all about.
All donations will be split between the Evans Home for Children and Hood Love, two organizations that strive to make the community a better place for our youth.
